Elder or Dependent Adult Abuse Restraining Order

An elder or dependent abuse restraining order applies to a person seeking a protective order who falls within the definition of an elder or dependent adult as follows: An elder is defined as a person who is 65 years or older. A dependent adult is defined as a person who is between the age of 18 to 64 years and who has mental or physical limitation that restricts his/her ability to carry out normal activities. You can obtain the forms necessary to obtain an elder or dependent adult abuse restraining order at any clerk’s office location. Even under the broadest provisions of the Federal statute (except for emergency services for certain persons), the Medicaid program does not provide health care services, even for very poor persons, unless they are in one of the designated eligibility groups. Adult Day Care

Definition:
Adult Day Care Centers offer social, recreational and health-related services to individuals in a protective setting who cannot be left alone during the day because of health care and social need, confusion or disability.

Caregiver

Definition:
